Abscisic Acid Mediated Abiotic Stress Tolerance in Plants
نویسندگان
چکیده
Abiotic stress is one of the major environmental stresses that decrease crop growth and yield even in irrigated soils worldwide. An important plant hormone abscisic acid (ABA) plays a vital role addressing various stresses, such as thermal or heat stress, high salinity level, heavy metal low temperature, drought, on radiation. Its well explained different processes for development, including germination seed, stomata closure, dormancy. Abscisic works through alteration gene expression levels subsequently analyzing cis trans-regulatory components receptive promoters. It considered to have an interaction with signaling elements taking part response seed development. In general, can be vulnerable tolerant when correlated actions stress-reacting genes are considered. Many transcription factors required regulation acid-responsive interacting their specific cis-acting components. Therefore, mechanism behind it should understood make plants stress-tolerant. This review explains significance function ABA concerning management biosynthesis, (TFs) associated tolerance.

Abscisic Acid and Abiotic Stress Tolerance in Crop Plants
Abiotic stress is a primary threat to fulfill the demand of agricultural production to feed the world in coming decades. Plants reduce growth and development process during stress conditions, which ultimately affect the yield. In stress conditions, plants develop various stress mechanism to face the magnitude of stress challenges, although that is not enough to protect them. Therefore, many str...
متن کاملOSM1/SYP61: a syntaxin protein in Arabidopsis controls abscisic acid-mediated and non-abscisic acid-mediated responses to abiotic stress.
To identify the genetic loci that control salt tolerance in higher plants, a large-scale screen was conducted with a bialaphos marker-based T-DNA insertional collection of Arabidopsis ecotype C24 mutants. One line, osm1 (for osmotic stress-sensitive mutant), exhibited increased sensitivity to both ionic (NaCl) and nonionic (mannitol) osmotic stress in a root-bending assay. The osm1 mutant displ...

Abiotic stress is one of the severe stresses of environment that lowers the growth and yield of any crop even on irrigated land throughout the world. A major phytohormone abscisic acid (ABA) plays an essential part in acting toward varied range of stresses like heavy metal stress, drought, thermal or heat stress, high level of salinity, low temperature, and radiation stress. Its role is also el...
متن کاملThermodynamics of Abiotic Stress and Stress Tolerance of Cultivated Plants
Plants, as living systems, depend simultaneously on their internal status and their surroundings. Changes in plants’ surroundings, generated by different environmen‐ tal factors (abiotic stress), could perturb existing homeostasis, thus imposing stress. Abiotic stress includes heat, cold, freezing, flooding, drought (refers to water deficit), weak or strong light, oxygen deficiency or sufficien...
متن کاملAntagonistic interaction between systemic acquired resistance and the abscisic acid-mediated abiotic stress response in Arabidopsis.
Systemic acquired resistance (SAR) is a potent innate immunity system in plants that is effective against a broad range of pathogens. SAR development in dicotyledonous plants, such as tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum) and Arabidopsis thaliana, is mediated by salicylic acid (SA). Here, using two types of SAR-inducing chemicals, 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one1,1-dioxide and benzo(1,2,3)thiadiazole-7-carb...
